Saint Petersburg

The superstructures consist of prefabricated reinforced concrete beams, 27.0m-long and 26.0m-long. For the first time in Russian operating experience the method of prestressing the concrete was used.

The viaduct is made of composite structures with pile foundation. It has 7x21m span, its total length is 161.7m.

The C2 navigation structure is an important element of the Barrier, intended for navigation of the “river-sea” class of vessels. The total length of the bridge is 1078.65m. The bridge has (10x27.0+6x33.0) +120+(6x33.0+10x27.0)m spans. The width of the carriageway is 13.25+0.8+13.25. The carriageway is designed for 6-lane traffic with the 120km/h designed speed.

The total length of the tunnel is 1961m, including 1189m-long underground section and two 386m-long ramp sections. The deepest section of the road in the tunnel is at a level of -24.3 m (under the marine channel). The underground part is divided into sections, each up to 60m-long.

The fill dam of the Flood Protection Barrier is 25.4km-long and is situated in Gulf of Finland. This dam is part of St Petersburg Ring Road.

The total length of the junction is 580m. The overpass is designed for 4-lane traffic, including four 1m-long safety strips and two pedestrian paths 0.75m-long each.

Bolsheokhtinsky bridge was originally built in 1909-1913. It was the 4th permanent bridge across the Big Neva River.

The Volodarsky bridge was originally built in 1932-1936.

The Liteiny bridge across the Neva River in St Petersburg was originally built in 1875-1879.

The bridge is designed for 3-lane traffic on one way, two-track trams way and two 3m-long footpaths. The total length of the river crossing structure is 905.7m, the width of the bridge is 35m.
